1981 7.5hp Rude no start

both have great spark 1/2 inch sharp blue, Flywheel woodruff key good, carbs good, compression excellent. put fuel in cylinders, and squirted into carbs. Still not a pop. My arm is sore. any ideas.

Have you looked at the Top Secret File? Just kidding TD. I am very uneasy about giving you suggestions as your one of the forums Top Guns IMO., but here goes. I would try a new or at least a different set of plugs as even with good spark, poor plugs can retard the energy before it gets to the gap especially under compression. Now I'm going to go hide in case I'm wrong, or right for that matter. Best of luck. Rick.

Plug wires to correct cylinders?

Reeds and bypass covers sound?

Rick, don't be shy, that is something i have not done. good suggestion.

JB. this motor is pristine. ran for 3 minutes, after carb rebuild, and new impeller, new plugs. turned it off, and has not popped since.

100% totally stumped. turn with drill motor, still no start.

One more thing to try. Turn it over in the dark and see if spark is finding a ground path. Don't give up. I haven't. Rick.

pulled flywheel woodruff key intact. cleaned and rebuilt carbs again. dropped throttle link, no can't find it, one on order, so until i get it. i am at a stand still.
