Hi to all,
My engine stalled the last time I had it out when I tried to accelerate. Finally ran fine. When I got home I pulled the cover and noticed that the timer would not advance when I acc. It was sticking. I spray lubed it and got it moving better ( I will pull flywheel and lube with white liteum grease) But a concern I have, I noticed that the timer plate didn't go to its stop when the (timer/carb arm on side of the engine) seperated, if that makes sense. The lever the throttle cable connects to, to accelerate seems to have a rubber clutch that advanced the timer plate that when its hits its stopper that the carbs continue to advance. Does that rubber clutch thing ever go bad. I hope I explained this right. And sorry the post is so long.
Thanks,
David

I think you are talking about the throttle arm, it has a spring in there.
If it ran fine i wouldnt adjust anything apart from greasing what you are doing.
You could check the bolt in it is snug, but not too tight

Thanks for the response.

PS: Any idea what the torque value on the flywheel is?
