A couple of questions:

Suggestions on an economical yet reliable tach?

How many rpm's should I be seeing at WOT?

OK, three questions. Anybody know where I can get a shop manual for this engine. I've got one of the generic manuals and while it serves it's purpose I gotta believe the Johnson shop manual for my particular engine will be far better.

outboardbooks.com for OEM manual. teleflex for tach kit. your motor reaches 90 hp at 5,000 rpms. with the poor gas today , it is recommended to prop it so that you get +- 5,500 rpms. the engine will run cooler, and better propped that way.

I've got a 1984 version of the same motor. It'll spin to about 5800 RPM with just me in the boat and is very happy doing so...
