Those slides are where a bimini of sorts USED to attach... You could adjust the top/bimini by sliding them back/forth.

Thanks, DukesFin. I don't see myself ever putting one on it again. I'll leave the rails there - maybe turn them into sliding cup-holders. :)

SnowHunter - just an update. Rewired the trailer, rewired the boat (didn't need it, but I needed things to do and wanted to put in a bilge pump so I just did the whole thing), managed to drill a hole through the bottom of the boat (DOH) and patched/fixed it. Had to change out the plugs and one fuel line in the motor.

That was it. She's been happily bobbing in the lake (bilge bone dry!) for the past week now, tethered to my dock.

The 3-yo has aptly named the boat, "Rubber Ducky".
