How are you checking the engine temp? High speed overheating can be caused by seal between inpeller cup and waterpump housing, and water deflectors under the cylinder heads.

I would verify that engine is overheating with a melt stick or some other kind of temp checker. Engine over heating, check waterpump and water deflecters behind the cylinder head. you can check the sensor by dipping in hot water, sensor should close at about 200 degrees F

Are you sure it's not low oil lvl or flow alarm, instead of hot horn? All use the same horn, just different sound.

I think it maybe could be the "not enough fuel alarm"<br />R u sure the engin get enough fuel?<br />Di have the same prob on my john faststrike 175 -93.<br />I checked all my hose and the fuel filter inside the engin and cdid clean it up, after that no more alarm :)<br />Im not sure its the same prob on your engin, but check the filter and all the hose..<br /><br />Good luck<br />Daniel
