1981 johnson 35 hp help please

hi all im new here i bought 1981 johnson 35 hp motor tonight model number j35elc1g

im told its 4 stroke but im guessing its 2 stroke can anyone confirm this please ?

also is there a charging wire on these engines ? if so has anyone got any info or pics of wich wire ect any info at all would be greatly apriciated

you have a 2 stroke, 50 to 1 premix. not sure what you mean by a charging wire.

The "charging" wire is spliced into your hot battery cable. The stator (under flywheel) produces AC voltage and wired to rectifier. Rectifier changes voltage to DC. "Charge" wire will be the red one. Rectifier looks like the Round thing in this pic.pic how elect start goes on.JPG
