is that a broken orange wire in the bottom photo on the bottom coil
Not a broken wire , but it is chaffed....
The orange / blue stripe wire must find it's way to the top coil / top cylinder.---Same for both the #1 cylinder and the #2 cylinder.
Racerone, I am tracking, now I think.....yes the orange and blue wires on both sides go to the top, and brown white wires go to the bottom on both sides.
I did switch,on the them on the left side, no help, same.
So here is the update: taking it one step further, I returned the connectors to their original position. Then swapped the power pack from side to side. Thought was, that if the power pack was bad on the left side, it should follow to the right side.
Hooked all back up, no change. Disconnect plug on eirther upper or lower, left bank = no change in idle. Disconnect plug on either upper or lower, Right bank = engine dies.
I put an extra spark plug in the disconnected plug on upper left side, grounded to block, = great spark, same thing on the lower plug, So much, I can draw the plug away for about half an inch before it stops sparking. So I Know there is good spark at the plug.... now Im really confused...... I did this on all 4 cylinders same result, great spark.
I did notice that on all 4 coils, when the plug got far enough away and stopped sparking, I would then get a spark going from the coil to a coil mounting bolt......
Any ideas here.....??? Thanks in advance!!!!
