1982 150hp blackmax powerhead swap issues

Pulled the wires off one at a time. Got a little shock once or twice. Nothing like I expected to be hit with. Like before. It didn't die but it would bog ever so slightly when one was pulled. If I pulled them very far away from the plugs you could see the sparking from where the boot goes into the coils to the block. Is that normal? I wouldn't think it is but maybe I am wrong.

Took a screwdriver and ran it around the plug wires. If I touch it to any of the plug wires and hold it 1/16th of an inch [maybe closer than that] it sparks to the block. At night running without me doing anything just sitting there watching it I see no sparks anywhere.

Bought a spark tester today. Uploaded a video checking it. All 6 look like this one, this is the boat idling after a few minutes sure seems like a lot of smoke to me.....
