SO ive decided to do a full restore on my 1982 sportcraft, The floor was a little soft and when i ripped it up found wet form(not alot) wet stringers not rotted, and seem to be a wet transom, So i figured get it all out and start fresh and have a boat that will last, Im new to boat resoration so figured I would post on here for help.
So far I have ripped out the floor removed bumper rail. Next step is to remove cap and remove all form and cut down stringers.
How far should i cut down stringers?
If part of the stringers are good can i leave?
Will removing the cap allow the hull to expand?
