So I am hoping to find some help here. I have recently picked up a 70 hp evinrude o/b. Ran everyting to it in the driveway to check operation. fired up nice everything was good. I did jump start it with my car due to the dead battery. as soon as i took the jumper cable off the deep cell an alarm started on the throttle control. Now even if i turn the key to the auxilary position without even starting the motor it whales? So my quetion is why? Its not overheating, the tan heat sensor wire is in NEW condition, it isnt oil injected "dont think" i pre mix 50:1, good stream out the back. what else can cause this?? I have heard low or dead battery? Low fuel? etc..etc.. any help would be super appreciated.
