Lol.... so a guy on craigslist just posted a 77 johnson 70 seahorse that has been completely reconditioned and selling for cheaper then the vro I want.... The 77 seahorse looks like brand new in the pics. So one last advice question. Which motor would work out the best?

Well the 77 is crankshaft rated, 49.7 in block, 50:1 premix. the 89 is prop rated, 56.1 in block, VRO. Of course it's gonna be cheaper. It is 35 yrs old. The 89 is only 23 yrs old

Adding to jimmbo's comment: You will find the later 56 cubic inch 70's perform noticeably better.
