Is there suppose to be this much play in the control cables. Do i need new cables?
The cables are hooked up to front and i can move them manually. Being that they are connected to front control lever and i have put it in neutral but when I look I can see it is not in the right idle position to run low slow. I keep adjusting and thinking the cables have to much play in them.
Is that normal for the cables to have that much play or i do i need new cables?

Okay i adjusted the cable to take out the play. Now in neutral and checked to make sure that throttle was in idle and it was. I will test like this. The other cable i had to go out of boundaries to get it into neutral proper that where i used my hose clamp to grip it, if not in the neutral first, the shift box will not let me go into gear but there is play there too.. It seems to be working ok (shifting and neutral and idle looks ok i have not started it yet ) i going to start it and make nothing crazy is happing. I thinking them cables can get old and have some play.
