1982 Mercury 115 thunderbolt Wiring

Have a wire on this boat that looks to have broke off but not sure can anyone tell me if it is to be connected or just left off. It looks like it comes off the main harness (yellow black striped and other is yellow)in to the two screws on the front housing and then 2 black wires go to the fuel back flow. Not sure of the name but maybe pics can help.

Is that from the mercury switch? Look kinda like where the mercury switch is located?

Yellow black is choke (enrichener) wire, plain yellow is stator wire.
