1982 pt&t Johnson 140

I have a pt&t motor three wire would someone explain the circuit inside the motor thanks for your help

Not going into electrical things.----A 1982 model uses a 2 wire motor.-----Easy to get the correct one !!

Thanks for your reply Racerone I’m sure you are right but I bought a parts motor it is on it it works good and I first thought one wire was just a frame ground but they all 3 are used in the operation of the motor I was just trying to understand it without taking it apart thanks

Ayuh,..... So what vintage is yer parts motor,..??

Parts motor is an 82 Johnson 140

The 3 wire motor uses black to ground.-----Green wire to + for DOWN-----Blue wire to + for UP.-----Need the one correct solenoid to operate the 3 wire motor.-----Need the 2 relays to operate the 2 wire motor.
