I need to order some solid rivets for the v220 mariner! Who has the experience of what i should order and where to get them...also the most effective tool to use to hammer them in place?

Dad had a 79 21 mariner when i was a kid, now at 60 years old I have an 82 18 footer

Also, I didn't buck i would not have had help so I just used lots of 5300 with my approx 375 closed end rivets.

Check out Aircraft Tool Supply(ATS) and some of their 4x rivet guns. I've been happy with mine. Tried it with the air hammer, which was fine for a couple of solids, but if you're going to be setting more than just a few, it's well worth the investment.

Watermann has a excellent sticky at the top of the forum on everything rivets if you haven't read through it already: https://forums.iboats.com/threads/rivets-rivets-and-more-rivets-repaired.741809/

Hi..will do that..I just ordered or am set to order some solid rivets...reading the recommended rivets to use on my 1983 v220 supermariner..I think that's what it is.lol...from reading prior post I am double checking from those that have done it..my selection of rivets so far is 3/16 brazier head rivets in 1/2 inch long 7/16 and 9/16..maybe I should get 3/8 long? Main question is the softness..guy is trying to tell me I want 1100 soft cute aluminum..I remembered reading an alloy suggested hardness one..is anybody can come back and tell me which one..or give me a shopping list
