where on the 20hp 1983 johnson motor can i find the serial number .It not on the 20hp same as the 48hp 1988 motor . sure would like to know, THANK YOU !

Frank, this is your second post about this that you posted in the Force and Chrysler Forum. Please post questions about Johnson outboards here, in the Johnson/Evinrude forum. Is there a problem with that?
The serial number should be on a plate riveted to the transom clamp, exactly like the 48.
