Just picked up a 1983 75hp Johnson with no spark. This motor has been sitting outside unused since 2007. Looking under the fly wheel the contacts on the stator look green with tarnish. is it possible that just cleaning them will solve the problem? I haven't pulled the fly wheel off yet.
