Ok, ive put up a few posts and you guys here on iboats.com have been great in helping me complete the restoration of my '83 24ft Aqua Patio Pontoon Boat. My neighbor just asked me if i would take $3,000.00 for it. The toons' are in good shape, the deck has been completely replaced with 3/4" marine grade plywood, all stainless bolts, new heavy marine carpet, new side panels in the railings, a good running Evindrude 70HP motor (1974), 4 step aluminum swim ladder, brand new 8' bimini with boot (sunbrella material) and the original trailer that works well. Theres only 2 pedestal mount buckets in it right now, they're out of a Fountain Boat and they're new ($375 each). I tried to look up its value on NADA but since the company has been bought, changed hands or something many times, i have no idea what to look under. I looked under Aqua Patio, Aquasports, Godfrey Marine, Sweetwater Marine, etc.... and i cant find a listing for a 1983 24ft Aqua Patio anywhere. where can i find something to give me a basic idea of its value. Is $3,000.00 a good price or should i ask more? :D

As always, Happy Boating

Tothe best of my knowledge Godfrey has only been sold once and that was 3-4 years ago, until then it was family owned.

For a 26 year old boat with a 35 year old motor that sounds in the ball park at least.

Wait for ohters to comment but I think that is pretty close to what it is worth.

Considering today's market, I think you have recieved a fair offer.

The money offered may be what is really fair value for your boat. But reading what you've put into your boat one has to wonder weather you're going to recover what you've invested into it. Is it enough to recover it? Or are you going to end up putting in all the actual sweat equality and you neighbor ends up enjoying the fruits of your labor.
