Recently I purchased an old bayliner to restore...I am almost their. aq125a has been fully gone through and runs like a gem. Currently I am in the process of finishing the interior. the MAIN problem that I am having is trying to figure out how to paint the interior. After ripping out the nasty old carpeting on the sides of the interior I found what looked to be extremely textured fiberglass with nothing on it... I want to stay away from carpeting, but I am not sure how to fill in this textured stuff enough to paint it? I read about just bondoing it, but that sounds extremely shotty. I want to do something that might take less elbow grease and look ok. I am trying to use the boat for both fishing and family outings..which is why carpet would not be the best choice for me.
