I am totaly restoring my 1983 bayliner cuddy capri 19', I want to have a boat that is easy to work on and maintain with optim performance. the boat has a volvo penta 4cyl i think its a 125. Can i take the I/O out glass up the hole install an outboard braket and so on. Would it be worth it. I've commonly heard of alot of problems with I/O's. If this process is possible how big of outboard could i put on it. If possible i'd like to have a max speed of 55 to 60 mph. what changes have to be made to the transom to hold the bracket/motor.
