1983 Glastron CVX18 SS Mercruiser I/O Info

I'm looking to trade my motorcycle for a boat and someone has offered me an 83 CVX18 SS with Mercruiser I/O, he knows it's a V8 but I'm not sure if there are multiple engines available and specs are hard to track down. I know absolutely nothing about these boats. It looks to be in good condition from photos and he claims to have recently done all the typical maintenance and resealed the outdrive. I was asking 5k for my bike, what is this boat worth?? I have a large pontoon to party on and would like to have something to ski/tube behind as well so the small passenger compartment isn't a huge deal but this boat does seem pretty purpose built and somewhat impractical for other uses which concerns me regarding future resale...

Have a look here for the engine, its a 228hp 305 or 260hp 350 chevy.

Value depends on how the boat looks, how it is maintained and whats included... like a trailer, full cover, props...etc.
