Hey guys, I have used the forums here many times I just registered though as I have a problem that I can't seem to get. My inline will bog when you try to give it throttle above about 20%, and if I bump the choke sometimes it will help and sometimes it will make it bog even more. When I bought the boat it had a little bog, nothing that feathering the throttle wouldn't fix, but now it is way worse.

I took it out today and it started fine like always and we ran out on the lake and shut it down. I went to start it and when I put it in gear it would bog and die on me. After a couple attempts it wouldn't even start. It sounds like it isn't getting any fuel as the primer is hard and after cranking it doesn't change.

About a month ago(after I couldn't even get it to run) I replaced the water pump, impeller, the fuel pump gaskets and diaphram, all fuel lines and the fuel and water separator as well as a couple gaskets on each carb that were leaking somewhat. It seems that the hotter it gets the worse it runs as it takes off right away when I first put it in the water. I know it isn't the fuel lines or the separator as my kicker motor is connected to all of that and runs fine(thank goodness, or else it would have been a couple long trips with the electric when the 115 didn't work)

I also don't think it is anything electrical as when it goes it runs perfect and it has slowly been getting worse over the course of a year. I took the carbs apart and cleaned them as well, they looked great. The compression test last year was great with all cyls either 135 or 140.

I am at my wits end and I may take it to a mechanic tomorrow if I can't figure anything out. The worst part was that I thought the new parts would fix it but they didn't which I found out today when I took a guy out that wanted to buy the boat from me :(, don't worry I have another one already lined up to take its place if I can get it fixed.

Thanks alot, and I am sorry about the book
Matt

Any other ideas, I am in the process of taking down the carbs again to check them out.
Thanks, Matt

Well, the carbs still look good, so I decided to check the stator after doing some more research on here. I used my mulitmeter and checked a few of the wires. The only one that looked way out of spec was the red wire to ground, I got no reading from it. The blue to ground was about 156 though. I think the stator must be bad so I will try to find one locally or else order one from here next week. Anyone else think the stator is bad?
Thanks, Matt

Also the enricher valve was turned all the way open so I closed it, it clicks though. Would having the enricher valve open cause the bogging?
