1983 Mercury 25HP Tiller Jet Conversion Help

Hi, I am new to the forum but looks like this is going to be very helpfull place. I am running a 1983 Mercury 25 HP Tiller longshaft on a 20" transom. But I mostly fish the shallows and was wondering if I can convert this motor to a jet and what is involved in doing so. And were I might find the parts to do this ?? Any suggestions will be appreciated is it worth converting this motor to a jet ?? Thanks, Bassinbeno

Probably cheaper and easier to sell the engine and buy the one you want.

Took your advice and went out and bought a used 1997 pro17 aluminum bass boat with side console with a 60/45 mercury jet. I didnt have it in the water yet but I will this weak it has been setting for 1 1/2 years so I took it to the dealer to get serviced.
