My motor starts fine (easy) idles great but when pushing the throttle up will only to a fast idle. I thought I might have the linkage adjusted wrong and the throttle cable not pulling enough but I was incorrect. I only achieved running the idle faster.
The motor is in great shape, pumps water good and at idle pushes my pontoon great. I tried new gas/oil and great compression. Something is not allowing the motor to go past idle/high idle. It is a dirty high speed jet in the carb? i dont do a lot of high speed crusiing but it would be nice to throttle up once and a while.
need some thoughts please!
