1983 Mercury 70 Hp Need help

I have a 1975 glastron with a 1983 Merury 70 hp motor on it . The last time it was run was 2005 and then it was winterized. I want to use the boat this year but don't know what I need to do with the engine before I take it to the lake? Any help would be great. Thanks

I would start with a new impeller, water pump kit and fuel pump kit. Also you might need new fuel lines.

just do a search on waking up a outboard and you'll find all you need to know and then some

Definitely take the carbs off and soak them in solvent for a day. Get a new carb kit
