Here' s a few more shots of the rear casting platform, the livewell area, and the rod locker. As far as the carpeting the splash well, I had put carpet down on the well years earlier to keep the down rigger weights from banging around when I brought them up. When I pulled up the old carpet there was so much glue on the well the easiest way to deal with it was to grind off the old carpet and glue down a new section. I'm really pleased with the rear storage hatches. They're from Cabela's, with Bass Pro latches. I wish they made one a size bigger. They are very sturdy. The reviews in Cabela's mentioned difficulty gluing carpet around the corners. I found aluminum trim at the local hardware store that solved that problem. The trim is u shaped and 1/2" deep. It was the perfect size! I just mitered the corners, slid each section in place, after the carpet was wrapped around the edge, then put a couple pop-rivets through it to hold it in place.
