1983 Thompson 196 Cuddy

Hello,
New owner of boat. The cuddy is missing the the sliding hatch. I am sure I can fabricate a replacement. I am looking for anyone that could possibly send me some photos of how it works. Anything to take the guess work out of the fabrication.

Congratulations on your new toy! I had 2 Thompsons-- the 240 and 260 Fisherman. Great boats that took everything Lake Erie had without a problem. Neither had a hatch like yours.

Working all weekend My boat is at shop and should have back by wed/thur I'll take a couple pics then . Just rebuilt outdrive and getting all new bellows and gimble brg too. Its 1987 Thompson 196 Sea Rage with that sliding hatch .Send me a reminder .

jimbo, could you post those pictures? I just recently got the same boat and the wood on the front of the hatch is missing along with the wood on the sides where it slides.
