1984 2.5l timing

I have found the timing for the 2.5l (1342). The problem I am having is that the cap rotor and wires where removed when I got the boat. Now I have no idea where on the disty cap the number one plug wire is suppose to go and what direction it rotates. Could someone please help ? Maybe a pic or something ? Thanks again as always !!!!

You need to find top dead center on the compression stroke for #1. (If you aren't sure how to do that, then ask).

Then line up the timing mark to the appropriate mark - 6 degrees before top dead center maybe? Verify the correct setting.

Turn the distributor body so the rotor is pointing at the #1 terminal.

Set your wires like this. (It really doesn't matter which spot is used as #1, as long as you go around from there):

Thank you !!! I was just simply looking for the illustration of the top of the disty cap that told me what post was the #1 post. I was one post off. I know how to find tdc on cylinder and all. Just wanted to make sure I was right with everything. Thank you very much for the info !!!!
