1984 35 HP water pump

I replaced the impeller on my 1993 40 HP 4 cyl merc. now I have another boat with a 35 HP 1984 ser 6446102. does the bottom end come off the same as the other mercury on my pontoon. The throttle is different pontoon control has a high idle lever. this one does not have that. it has the normal throttle with a small black button at the bottom of the lever. How do you high idle this one

Try pushing the button in and moving the lever to throttle up.

thanks. Do I have to disconnect any linkage or just unbolt and remove the lower end to replace water pump impeller? thanks

removed the pee tube and it was plugged. not just the nozzzle, all the way to the motor.cleaned it out and now I have a nice stream.
