1984 70hp Johnson, won't stay running

Engine was running fine. Sat a week and then start and stop
Put new kill switch in same issue, start and stop. 2nd try ended no spark at plugs. Today I bypass kill switch, and start and stop. Difference is have spark to cylinders. Won't start

choke working... dirty carb(s) bad gas ....??

Bad stator ?----Sheared flywheel key.----Bad ignition switch ?----Shorted wiring ?----Fuel supply.----Water in the fuel.-----The list goes on.

New gas, spark all three cylinders

Engine turns over good, starts for 2-3 seconds. New gas, can hear choke clicking when you push key in.
Everything was fine, boat sat for 1 to 2 weeks, then problem began.

Turning engine over it is pumping water,

try pumping the fuel hose.... does choke open up properly linkages all ok ?
carbs cleaned ..yes no ???
