There is a 1/4" tube comming from what looks like the lower unit and it is tie rapped on the side. Is this tube attached correctly or does it need to be connected to something? :confused:

Thank You for the help

You are 100% correct. The tube comes from the lower unit. Where does the other end connect?? There is about 8" of 1/4" tube and a barbed connector. Does the speedometer work off of pressure ??:confused::confused::confused:

If the unit was connected on your boat, you should find a tube the same size running forward to the instrument panel.

As water pressure flows into the tube at the bottom of the LU, it will pressurize the air in the line and the speedometer needle will move.

I don't see a line going forwards and I also don't have a speedometer. Is the line OK leaving it like it is or should it be pluged off??

Thank You for the help

Tom;

Nothing is going to happen to it no matter what you do but it would just be good maintenance to cap it off in some fashion.
