1984-86 Yamaha 40hp questions

Hi, can anyone tell me what the correct prop size and pitch is for this engine and how to wire a rev counter to this engine?<br />thanks<br />Jiz

yellow is key on 12V power,black is ground, dark green is tach send from the rectifier and the pitch and diameter will be detwermined by the RPM at wide open throttle. there is no standard pitch and diameter thats why they make so many.<br /> tach should be set to 6 pole or 3 pulse.
