First off I'm a newbie. I've gotten a lot of great info from the list over the years. I purchased this motor agout 6 months ago, its a model E4RDCRM. The person I purchased from indicated it had very few hours on it and the only concern I has was that that very little water came out the pee hole, more like a drip. He said that is normal for this motor and water also exited from other locations on the water jacket. I have used it weekly for the last four months and about three weeks ago wouldn't start, took it to local marine mechanic and he fixed the starting(carb settings), but he also noticed the steady drip from the telltail, and used compressed air to blow it out. Now there is a big hot stream coming from there, but nothing from the other locations. Also the engine block is hot to the touch when running, is this normal, especially the hot telltail water. I was going to check the water inlet screen, but not sure how to remove it, it is located just below the cavitaion plate. I purchased a Seloc manual but it doesn't address the water inlet on the model. Thanks for any help.
