Oh well. I don't want to jinks myself talking about this one much more. The trick was keeping it garaged. Wiping it down with the correct products. Some people just do not understand how the wrong cleaning products will ruin the upholstery before they realize it. Pay a little more and get the RIGHT products to maintain the appearance. Same with maintaining the gel-coat. Why pay thousands for a boat (or motorcycle) then use a cleaning product intended to keep your kitchen floor clean? Or your toilet bowl? LOL.
Well, not sure how others feel about Chrysler Force motors, but while mine has been dependable (only 2 major repairs in 28 years) I had to go to 3 dealers to get this one worked on this last time. Obviously, Chrysler sold the business years ago and it has switched hands several times. But I only paid $4,300 for it (brand new) in 1984 so I guess you could say I got my money's worth. I really don't use my boat enough to justify the purchase of a new one, but I go to the boat show and the travel & vacation show each year and salivate over the new boats. Thankfully, I come to my senses before I buy anything. To be honest, I sometimes have a hard time imagining how boat (and motorcycle) dealers stay in business with the prices they charge for something decent these days.
