HELP! i bought a 1984 baja with a 115 johnson. it seemed to run great with muffs in the yard, but when i but it in the lake it would not go fast enough to even make a wake......
i looked at the motor with a friend and found a couple of problems that i have no ideal about fixing. to make a long story short, its got good compression 106 on all 4 cyls, good spark on all 4 also, "even checked @ 7/16 gap". but one bank of cylinders is not running! and it appears as if it changes from the left to right bank. " i found this by disconnecting the plug wires one at a time, " motor runs with both plugs on left bank disconnected" but as soon as i disconnect any plug from right bank motor stops".
could this be a timeing problem? carbs are rebuilt. and again, " all 4 cylinders have good spark all the time"
