1984 merc will crank but wont start

I just bought this 1984 mercury 115hp. Im only getting spark on the 1,3,and 5 cylinders. Ive replaced the stator, trigger, and switch boxes and now it will crank but wont turn over. I just rebuilt the carbs and have no idea how to proceed with this. Im by no means a boat mechanic but, ive looked at some of these forums and have a small knowledge on them now. Im at a dead end and would appreciate any thoughts or ideas as to what the problem could be. Thanks
