Hi folks,
I haven't posted in here in quite some time. I have a Sea Nymph Tournament 175TX with an Evinrude 60 that I have posted pictures and stuff about and now as of yesterday I have added another Sea Nymph to the boat collection. I didn't know it was a Sea Nymph until I got there to look at it. Turns out to be a Muskie and a pretty cool boat. This boat looks to be made very well, heavy duty and has some neat looking Muskie stickers on each side with big teeth. It needs a good cleaning but otherwise the boat is in great shape. I don't think I have ever seen one of these. It's a 14' deep V hull and has an Electric start Evinrude 30 on the transom that looks like it has hardly been used. It has been sitting outside for a few years and is quite nasty but I started cleaning it up and the motor is looking like brand new inside and out.
It really looks like it was hardly used at all. Put some fresh gas in it and hit the starter button and she fired right up and purred. I can't believe how clean and apparent low hour of a motor it is. It doesn't even have a nick on the prop or skeg for that matter. The boat doesn't have a ding anywhere either. Looks like it is really made well with the lower half aluminum and all those big rivets. It also has original seats with a huge bass I think embossed on the seat backs. Rated for a 35 HP motor with a 30 on it should move along pretty good in the river. I got lucky on this find and the price was right. I picked it up for practically nothing for what it is and has.
Almost like a barn find but sitting outside next to one. After I get her cleaned up I'll post some pics. I'm going over today to start on it and get the motor running and warmed up to see if the water pump is going to work. I got one on order regardless because the motor is an 86 and probably hasn't had one since new. She will make a fine fishing boat. This is one of those boats you hope to find just sitting all these years and not being used just collecting dust or dirt. If it had been covered it would look really nice but then the price would have been much more. I really stole this boat for what I paid for it. I'll bring her back to life and get good use out of it. Anyway will post pics later... Anyone else have one of these or know of there production numbers...
