Now I know those who are die hard OMC fans will like this but those who prefer not a OMC may not. I just wanted to ask if you guys think this is a good deal. Chime in pros, I have this cash and willing to pay around that much. Sold my 1976 Seaswirl about 3 months ago due to wife rules, and hated it ever since. I'm really hoping to get this tomorrow and plan to buy it no matter what. Much better condition then mine was, and it runs, I will check the important areas but looks very nice for the price. Maybe almost too good to be true but we will see. Let me know what you OMC fans think, plus Seaswirl guys. Thanks.

Oh and if you live in the area please don't jack my buy, unless you plan to pay more I have made contact with owner already and I have been jacked four times today on good deals, not because of iboaters, but because the owners insisted on selling before I could get all details or test boat. Oh well I just hope I get my hands on this rig.

Well, good luck. Heck, for $1000, if it turns out to be a total dud, you could always part it out on Ebay and make your money back.

That may be the most intelligent informative ad for a boat I have seen on craigslist :)

If you understand what you're getting (OMC Stringer), then the buy looks like a good one to me. And Nivekt is right, you could make your money back on it pretty easily.

I like my boat and even my Stringer, but doubt if I'd buy another one at this point (convenience sake).

Nice one on the 16" lol, didn't bother to catch that. In any case folks I'm a proud owner. She runs like a champ, drives like a champ, looks great, deck solid, no stress cracks, etc......what a beauty! I love it and I got it for $900 maybe got him a little lower but guy was a older gentleman who his kids out grew the boat and his sweet old wife said its time for it to go. Just very well taken care of. The minor issue lower unit fin was slightly bent by very little and a small chip. Didn't affect it and couldn't have asked for a better deal. Managed to get six new West Marine life vests which are pricey mind you and many other accessories. To add to that also the manual amazing! Thanks for all your input I will post some more photos of my run this weekend.
