Have a 1985 120 v4 johnson (took the vro pump and tank off as per advice from here) fired engine today got a beep about every second, then bout 3 mins in got a constant beep.

water is coming out my pee hole in the top and also out the pee hole in lower unit, also seems to be coming out just above the lower unit facing the transom. should there be any water coming from anywhere except the pee hole at the top? and whats with the alarms going off? I just mixed up 45gals of fuel so my tank is full

You didn't disconnect the oil related alarms connector at the fuel pump.

Can you tell me which one that is? I have one purple wire that I did not connect as per instructions, are there more?

question on places water should be coming out of the lower end, pee hole towards transom, out of prop, pee hole up on the motor is there any place else water should be coming out of with the muff's on and a hose when the motor is running? thanks

You need to disconnect the fuel pump harness as well as the oil tank. It's the three or four wire amphenol plug with the wires running directly to your fuel pump. Seal the plug so that it can be used later if desired.

A constant horn on your motor is only from an overheat. Check your cooling system. You should not run the engine until you isolate the problem.

thank you I was told to just disconnect the purple wire, so if I unplug the whole thing it will still work right? On my ignition key if I push it in it's like giving full choke, will that still work? or does something else make that work?
