1985 3.0 Mercruiser Riser

I have a 85 3.0 mercruiser that looks like the riser is leaking from the back right bolt.<br />Is this a replace the gasket and clean the riser job or should the riser be replaced as well.<br />Thanks in advance

With the age (if orginal) replace the riser.

That depends on how old it is, and its' condition.....And especially the condition of the mating surfaces of the riser & manifold.....JK

Odds are if it started leaking it is because someting rusted through. I would bet it is replace the riser time.

I left out replace it...I would replace it and the manifold. If they are over 5-7 years old, especially if it is a raw water cooled system, if they start leaking into your engine, that won't last long...............JK
