I have a 1985 Chriscraft Concept 19 that stays on a lift. Went out yesterday and rode the lake for about two hours with no problems. Came back to the lift and shut it off like normal. Now when I try to start it the starter gear engages the flywheel but wont turn the motor over much. Sometimes it will turn the engine slightly. Charged the battery fully and had it tested at AutoZone.(Ok) I tried jumping the solinoid mounted to the header with the same results. Could a started have these symptons or should I be looking elsewhere ? All the nornall stuff like the oil has been checked.

You might try pulling the spark plugs and trying to spin with the starter. Maybe your hydrolocked.

I just did some more testing and think the mechanical parts of the engine are probably ok.

All tests with Battery fully charged

1. Blower Works
2. Radio Works
3. Trim Just clicks (Up and Down)
4. Starter clicks

It has to be a ground or one of the solinoids I think. Would the solinoid on the starter or the relay on the maniford cause these issues ? Are there termnals I can jump to test before buying parts I may not need ?
