1985 90HP Johnson Prop question

Currently I have a 13-3/4 X 15 prop and was wondering what size I should move to...to go faster but still be able to get on plane quick. The boat is a Crestliner 17ft alum. very light and with current prop jumps right out of the water but RPM's sound like they are red line WFT (TECH not working).

i would say 19 just guessing very important to know rpms

I have a 1987 88 spl,basically the same as your 90.it's on a landau pro 17 with a 13.125 X 19p and i could probably go to a 21.really good hole shot with the 19,but still working out a few bugs with motor before i will know anymore on WOT.Hope this helps.

You really need to get the tach fixed, there's no other way to get it dialed in correctly.
