1985 90hp mercury any good ?

Ok just bought a 1985 mercury 90hp. Price was right so I bought it without testing it on the water. Compression tested well and it fired up after a little work, seems to idle fine. Im waiting on an impeller before I can take her out . my question is has anyone had this motor and what kind of luck did you have with it ? It is the inline six .

If the PO done the maintance on it faithfuly you should have a motor that should last for several years. As with any motor maintance is the biggest factor in how long it will run before needing a rebuild.
