1985 Baretta Vanguard questions

Ok here is one for the other Baretta owners out there, every time I try to find anything like boat covers, windshields, etc. for my Baretta, nobody has heard of either the manufacturer or the model that I have.

I have researched it some and find no model numbers for the Vanguard, although I find several others like the Phazer and Success. I realize that being the boat is an 85 that most anything I use will probably have to be custom made, however I find it odd that even when I get insurance on my boat that the insurance company can't find the make or model of the boat in their system. I know that Mel Hart industries made some of them and as many as three other manufacturers made some also, my coast guard plate says Baretta, while the logo on the hull says Vanguard.

Anyone have any ideas or places to point me to for more info, I love the boat and plan on keeping it and restoring it 100%, right now the floor is done and the boat is useable, next is the interior (I'm not a big fan of brown) so it will be switched to a burgandy/light tan, the hull will also be getting repainted as 1/4 of it is brown as well. Anyone with pictures of theirs to share would be awesome.

Re: 1985 Baretta Vanguard questions

Saw your post today. I have a 1985 Baretta with a 90 "Force"Merc motor. I am also looking to replace the cover but don't know where to start. Did you find out anything yet?

Re: 1985 Baretta Vanguard questions

Erick,

I finally just got to the point where I started custom fabricating everything, it also means I will be making my own covers as well. They seem to be around in Canada, but as far as I know to this point I'm the only person that has a Baretta/Vanguard here in the states.....well maybe the only one who has come forward anyhow. I see other Baretta models out there still.
