I have a 1985 DT115 SUZUKI OUTBOARD, compression great, it was running 5 years ago until the owner got new boat and parked this one in field. Cylinders are getting gas, but there is no spark/fire. Before pulling flywheel and cleaning magnet and stater, (coil) under flywheel with sandpaper, I wanted to disconnect the kill switch wire at motor just to make sure it's not shorted out. All the wires on the motor are in great shape, no dry rot, cracking, or brittle. Now the control box is in kinda rough shape. What ya think?

most people would check/test the inputs and outputs of the CDI
service manual should have info and specs

OK, thanks. Is there a way to "hot wire" the ignition switch on control box? I want to make sure it's not the switch.
