how can you test a vro pump to see if its working properly?Also who can fix these pumps or does remans.

There is a lot of great information available out here and a lot of different opinions. Just use the search function and type in your key words (VRO etc)
I run a 140 hp 1985 Johnson and have no VRO issues at present but plan to give the system its "spring maintenance" as soon as the winter cover comes off.
