1985 Johnson 150 STLCOS Grease Fittings

I have the service manual for this engine and it references grease fittings on the swivel bracket for the upper and lower swivel points. I found the lower swivel grease fitting but can't find an upper one. I don't think the one grease fitting would be for both lower and upper since when I applied grease only the lower took the grease. Is there a fitting hidden someplace that there is a trick to find or that I have to remove something to get to?

No, there is only one and what you have is normal. Grease never wants to come out of the top due to the weight of the mtr. You might want to try lifting the mtr with either a hoist or jack and then trying it.

Thx for the suggestion it was exactly what I needed to get the grese into the upper swivel joint.
