Well I brought my Boston Whaler home from the farm and put it on a hose and it fired right up !!!

Now for the problem..The power trim and tilt.

When I first Connected a battery and figured out where the tilt switch was it raised up fine so I could trailer home.

Now when I connected it to the hose and tried to raise and lower the motor it wont go up or down.

The trim and tilt motor engages and makes sound like it should work but no up or down movement happens.

please help.

Thanks.:mad::confused:

Making all the right noises but not playing?......Check the fluid level.

The reservoir/plug is on the starboard most unit between the transom brackets....."with the motor fully tilted up the fluid level should be even with the bottom of the fill plug threads".....in your case you will have to keep adding oil and replacing the plug until you get to the fully tilted up stage.....you might need to repeat the process (tilt down/up) a couple of times to get the level right....."dexron" auto trans fluid may be used as an alternative.

Also, sometimes trailering in the tilted up position can cause hydraulic lock up.....
