1985 Merc 90 more dumb questions

I pulled the flywheel off assuming it was like every other motor I worked on keyed. Much to my surprise is wasn't and I never marked it! I put number one cylinder at TDC. Then put the flywheel on with the pointer pointing at zero. With the 6 bolt holes if you use another one its way off. I am assuming each bolt hole would put it 60 degrees either way. So this line up should be good enough right? Thanks for all the help too!!!!

Removing the six bolts left the keyed hub on the crankshaft, so you have 6 places for it to fit back together.

If the motor is at TDC, the pointer on the distributor pulley will point to the crankshaft. Line up the flywheel mark in line with the distributor pointer and install the six bolts.

There is no distributor on that motor, but the top dead center indicator should allow you to install the flywheel properly. Put the flywheel on and turn the motor until the #1 piston is at top dead center(using a screwdriver). Now adjust the flywheel until the timing marks indicate TDC, or close to it. Bolt it down....
