1985 Mercury 115 6 cylinder sparks issues.

I have spark on 1,3,5 but not 2.4.6. I have swapped stator wires , trigger wires, and replaced the bottom switch box all with the same results.

Mercury recommends replacing both switchboxes, something about a biasing issue.

Did that both switch boxes are brand new. I jumped the tigger to from the top to the bottom with same results and did the same with the stator. I am at a lost with it

Yea I bought two so just did the bottom one since the top one was working. After I posted I was reading that the top one could effect the bottom one so I replaced it but had negative results.

Thanks for the website had helpful pointers will try it out and let you know. It's looking like try the replacing the flywheel I spare engine for parts so will try it out. Might try the stator put I all ready swapped leads form top to bottom and still have the same problem.

Still no luck, swapped stators fly wheel and trigger and same result no spark on 1 3 and 5.

I just replaced the stator and trigger both are CDI products still have the same results. Bottom switch box not working.

The top pack could have had the bia's problem and damaged the new pack you installed then the new damaged pack damaged remaining new pack..
